| A superbly accomplished painting by Pott depicting a girl, deep in thought, collecting roses from the depths of a garden. This picture is typical of Potts work which is strongly influenced by dress and events of this period. This spellbinding oil painting has his characteristic vivid use of colour and attention to detail. It is one of a series of similar paintings by Pott, the others being The Last of the Summer Roses, Portrait of a Lady Carrying Roses in a Woodland, Flowers for my Lady.
