Art work Description:
Born in 1965, studied at the Fine Arts School, Calcutta, India; Phd in Contemporary Art, Rennes University. The body is the center of Debesh Goswami's work, in a space located between the eternal and the ephemeral, passing through its various states: growth, displacement, renewal. The body is also the place where identity is asserted, negotiated between Indian culture and Western Europe.
