Art work Description:
In the search for a connection with the landscape in which I live, ultimately it is an experience of unconnectedness which asserts itself. A reality that is at once alluring and disaffecting. Stripped of detail my paintings evoke a sense of place rather than being faithful reproductions. One place resembles many places as the global landscape becomes more and more the same.
