The theme in the installation is positivity and hope. The importance of the
moment, consciousness what is happening with and around us. In our time
society is confused, bombarted with negativity, medial manuiplation and a
failing value system.The „beer people“ are a positive response to reality,
saerching for new solutions and perspectives, in the process of regenerat-
ion and individual fullfillment.
The „beer people“ were created in the year 1993, in an old Berliner beer
„kneipe“. Made out of the paper ring that is attatched to the bottom of the
glass of a fresh tapped beer, to absorb the foam drippings. This paper ring
was the inspiration behind the making of the „beer people“. Each of the
figures are originals torn, ripped and folded.
