布面油画 oil painting 123x100 cm 1988创作 入选第七届中国美展；入选在美国举办的《第二届中国现代画展》；入选在土耳其安卡拉举办的《欧亚艺术双年展》 画面借助一个渴望外面世界的农家小孩，一条匍匐着的牛及迷朦的太阳。这是画家用画刀，一刀刀，一层层，反反复复的仔细推敲，刻画几十次，长达近两年时间才完成的作品。“牛”乍看似牛，牛肩部的老茧毕现，再看又似山，似山石，又似饱经风雨沧桑的皱裂土地；“牛”忍辱负重的奉献精神，其主人的命运环境无不令人遐思。“牛”从内涵及外延都远远超越了牛的本身，画家殚思竭虑的“牛”，实则是在张扬一种吃苦耐劳，任劳任怨，诚实忠厚，坚韧不拔的人格精神。
