| The representation of nature is a need for Jorge MAYET - he recreates the construction of imagination that also forms a memory, his memory.
In his work Jorge MAYET does not look for the contemplative beauty of landscape, but the evocation of experienced situations, emotions and feelings, which is always linked to a landscape or geography.
As a result acquires the newly created image a new dimension of our known evolution, a fragment of the landscape created from polychronic elements, visible or invisible, with natural origin, psychological and even religious beliefs of their ancestors.
His sculptures are not just the sum of the separate elements of nature, but the result of a combination of physical, emotional and anthropologic elements, which dialectally attached, form the new landscape with a unique body charged with symbolism and emotion. |
