Academy Galleries

The Academy Galleries are the public face of the New Zealand Academy of Fine Arts, which celebrates its 125th anniversary this year. The galleries host regular exhibitions showcasing high quality art and craft by recognised as well as emerging New Zealand artists. The design of the galleries won three NZ Institute of Architects design awards in 2001.

Artists Represented
Each exhibition features new works submitted by a range of New Zealand's established and emerging artists and results in over 150 artists represented in each show.

Submission Policy
All art exhibited in NZ Academy of Fine Arts Exhibitions are the result of selection by a panel comprising Academy Council artists.

We are located on Wellington's Queens Wharf in the fully restored heritage "Wharf Offices" building
