Agnes Etherington Art Centre

Founded in 1957, the Agnes Etherington Art Centre ranks as Canada’s premier university art gallery. The Art Centre is committed to the flow of ideas, research and service to its public. It presents a rigorous program of some 15 exhibitions annually, and a broad spectrum of public symposia, lectures, workshops and artists talks. With its eight exhibition galleries, historic Etherington House, studio for public programs, Gallery Shop and Art Rental and Sales facilities, the Art Centre is a focus for the cultural life of Kingston and the region.

Artists Represented
Numbering over 14,000 works, the Art Centre's colleciton is remarkable for its breadth and quality, ranging from Canadian historical art and Old Master prints and drawings, to important holdings of West African sculpture and contemporary art. Its Bader Collection of 17th century Dutch painting is considered among the finest of its kind in North America.
