Although David Brown is Johannesburg’s newest major art dealer he has already garnered a formidable reputation for handling some of South Africa’s finest contemporary painters, sculptors, ceramicists and photographers.



His gallery in Rose bank is in a stunning redevelopment of an old house with a large sculpture garden facing Jan Smuts Avenue.



David was a golf professional before becoming a bond trader on the J S E where he was for many years.

He had always had an abiding interest in the fine arts and used to buy and sell on his own account. He also curated a major exhibition of Venda art in London.
