Ironwood Gallery

The Ironwood Gallery features one-of-a-kind work of emerging and mid-career artists in a variety of media including studio furniture, sculpture (in glass, wood, metal, fiber and ceramics), and non-traditional art jewelry.

The gallery owners, Betsy Halliday and Richard Herrmann, traded in careers in their Manhattan-based graphic design firm to focus on representing American artists of the highest caliber for private, corporate and civic commissions.

Ironwood Gallery Commissions Albert Paley
Ironwood Gallery has commissioned world-class sculptor Albert Paley to create a large scale work of public art on behalf of the city of Ft. Myers, FL. Mr. Paley and Ironwood Gallery owners Betsy Halliday and Richard Herrmann presented the design to public officials in Ft. Myers, and received unanimous approval from the various civic committees. The installation of the 25' steel polychrome sculpture is expected to be Spring of 2009.

Location And Getting There
Ironwood Gallery is located in the small, picturesque town of Ridgefield, CT, a little more than an hour northeast of Manhattan. The gallery is one mile north of the Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum on Danbury Road (Route 35).
