Contemporary Painting and Sculpture
Art Space at Santorini's Exo Gonia continues in 2008 and for the tenth year in a row its art activities and extends its hospitality to important artwork by Greek and foreign artists.
A unique Art Center within the pumice rock - carved chambers of an old winery.
In this old winery dating back to 1861, representative works of art from the sphere of painting and sculpture are on display, offering visitors the opportunity to come close to contemporary Greek art and the course of artistic expression in Greece.
What is more, Art Space, in its endeavour to continue the winemaking tradition includes in its premises a modern winery offering renowned products of high quality.

History
Since 1999, Art Space's caved-in old winery chambers have held the exhibitions of approximately 130 top Greek and foreign artists. During Art Space's ten years of operation, the thousands of visitors to its premises have had the opportunity to become better acquainted with the trends and course of contemporary painting and sculpture in Greece.
In 2008, Art Space, in its tenth consecutive year in operation, carries on with its art activities displaying works of art by foremost artists.
Apart from its interest, due to its unique geology and tourist attractions, Santorini is an island with a history of 3500 years in exquisite art masterpieces. From the incomparable wall paintings of prehistoric Acrotiri to the sculptures and ceramics of historic times and its superb architecture of more recent centuries, Santorini maintains a tradition in art.
