Driven by the world of visual arts Cabinodd has been actively promoting artists since 2005 by organizing exhibitions, art projects, corporate art collections and as of 2009 managing a gallery space. The exhibitions are held in the Cabinodd gallery and various other locations during art projects. The gallery is located in the arts quarter Roombeek in Enschede. Additionally, Cabinodd regularly hosts exhibitions in cities like Amsterdam in collaboration with others. The name 'Cabinodd' derives from the early 'Kunst-und Wunderkammer', or 'Cabinet of Curiosities'. These royal collections functioned as cornerstones for the first museums and public art collections. The growing experience and network are continuously fueling Cabinodd’s activities. The corporate art collections focus on a broad group of artists while the gallery functions as a launching platform for participation in national and international art projects. Collaboration with kindred galleries and cultural entrepreneurs are important ingredients. Cabinodd’s founder Ella Buzo aims to offer artists and partners a successful platform for showing exciting artworks.
