Capital Event Productions presents the unveiling of the “Poetry and Truth” Sculpture by artist John Sauvé. The unveiling will take place during the Third Annual Ferrari on the Rox Event at Big Rock Chop House Reserve on July 22, 2006.
BIRMINGHAM, Saturday night July 22, 2006 –Norm LePage (owner of Big Rock Chophouse and The Reserve), Brett Tilander (CEO of the Boys and Girls Clubs of South Oakland County), Scott Moore (Mayor of Birmingham) and John Suppelsa and local attorney Tim Payne (Cole Street Development) will unveil Birmingham’s first piece of permanent sculpture in the last 20 years, titled “Poetry and Truth” by artist John Sauvé. “Poetry and Truth” is the second sculpture in Sauvé 's “Man in the City” series. The series is comprised of 10 large scale stainless steel sculptures located in 10 different cities around the country. Each sculpture is created to be site specific to the city and to the geographic location of the artwork. “Dasein“, the first sculpture in the series was dedicated in 2003 and is located in Brighton, Michigan.
