An exhibition by Eva Ă–hrling

Eva writes:
”A journey in South India and New Delhi in February 2013 has been the starting point and initiator of this exhibition.
I was fascinated and fell in love with alle the signposts we saw in the streets, and I began to photograph them.
A bombardement of the senses.
The colors, the graphics of the letters, the humor, the material, more and more of everything. Simple everyday objects have colors that stimulate and inspire. The experience is, that you have entered a bigger room.
New color schemes and unusual combinations appear. A mixture where beautiful becomes ugly and ugly becomes beautiful.
I create new copies of the signposts on wood panels. I paint the signs again – a kind of travel notes, where I recreate the energy, from the pictures, attempt to express the ’India power’ I experienced out there. ”
Eva Ă–hrling will show at the Janusbuilding in Tistrup with the artist-group: Jylland
