Angelo Marino founded the Dirartecontemporanea, whose title is an abbreviation fo "discussions abaut art", in 1991 and is still at the helm to day. The Gallery's modus operandi more closely resembles that of a cultural association. The gallery adopts a very open-minded approach to the work it exibitions, starting from the undeniable premise that in the complex, multi-medial context of today's society more artists than ever before are drawing on a vast variety of exepressive means ( painting, video, photography, PC applications etc.). The only truly criterion regulating Dirartecontemporanea's choice of exibiting artists is that the work must be of the very highest standard. Besides organizing solo shows young italian and european artists. The gallery is open to collaborations whith at both a national and international level.
