| Florida Museum Of Photographic Arts
In the spring of 2001, Charles J. Levin and Vincent Sorrentino, inspired by the vision of Cynthia L. Flowers, established the Tampa Gallery of Photographic Arts, a museum dedicated to photography. Working in close cooperation with Madison Marquette, the owner of Old Hyde Park Village, exhibition space for the museum was secured in Tampa. The museum is an IRS 501(c)(3) charity.
Five years later, in the summer of 2006, the board of directors changed the name of the museum to the FLORIDA MUSEUM OF PHOTOGRAPHIC ARTS to more accurately describe its purpose and mission. In addition to the new name, the museum relocated to the Tampa downtown business core.
The FLORIDA MUSEUM OF PHOTOGRAPHIC ARTS is a museum dedicated to exhibiting important photographic art as central to contemporary life and culture. FMoPA collects, preserves and exhibits historic and contemporary works by nationally and internationally known photographic artists. FMoPA also enriches the community by operating outreach programs to educate children and adults.

| Currently we are showcasing work from the Drapkin Collection in our exhibit, "Masters of Black and White." With work ranging in artists from Diane Arbus, Aaron Siskind, and Alfred Eisenstaedt.

| The next artist we will be featuring will be the work from photographer Len Prince in June 2008.
