The Gallery Montanelli was established in the year 2003, since then developing its exhibition programme both in its exhibition hall in Prague and in cooperation with various institutions abroad. Its activity is aimed at presentation of Czech visual art namely in Germany (Berlin, Frankfurt, etc), at the same time representing foreign art in Prague.
The gallery activity would not like to be aimed at a narrow spectrum of views, on the contrary concentrating its attention on various streams of contemporary art, trying to stay as open a possible. From new viewpoints, it represents the works of classical personalities who began their artistic career at the end of the fifties and the beginning of the sixties (Jiřà Kolář, Běla Kolářová, Hugo Demartini, Radek Kratina, ..), as well as at middle-aged generation (Adéla Matasová, Václav Bláha, Daniel Pešta, …), not forgetting young atrists and students.
Every year, the gallery prepares five or six monographic, group or thematic exhibitions in its Prague exhibition hall, as well as several exhibitions abroad, publishing catalogues that accompany them ...
