Kim, Jin-kyoung
Artist Jin-Kyoung Kim has majored art in SungKyunKwan University in Seoul, Korea and also painting in New York Long Island Graduate School. In New York, as a minority woman artist, she worked on a very actual project involving such as construction, visual image, and performance. She is a very merry and funny person with a great gut. Also, the work she is dealing right now is very innovative, destruction, regeneration, Shiva, the representative god of India, its image was mixed with herself and this is meaningful because it broke out from the prejudice of god being a man. She tried to reprogram the idea of such prejudice. what she wants to see from her work is the place where all people can be mingled with each other regardless of age, race, religion, gender and other social restrictions, even if the case is Confucius, Buda, and Jesus and also free from outer control which puts heavy burden on our back in a way that looks like suffocating us any minute. |
