Established in 1983 as a non-profit contemporary art complex of gallery spaces and studio facilities, Gertrude Contemporary Art Spaces provides professional support to contemporary artists through exhibition, studio, cultural exchange and public programs which address the relationship between contemporary art practices and current critical debate.

Gertrude’s Programs & Facilities
Gertrude Contemporary Art Spaces’ exhibition program operates through the organisation's three gallery spaces, as well as through the development of off-site and special projects. Exhibitions are developed internally and through proposals from artists, curators and groups, and features work by emerging Australian and international artists that demonstrate excellence, innovation and experimentation in contemporary art practice.
