Hagalleria

Open in Mach 2008, Hagalleria is a contemporary art gallery marked by the dialogue and exchange aroused by the artists. The gallerists want Hagalleria, “the gallery” in Hebrew, to be both an intimate and open place dedicated to Israeli contemporary art (by both Israeli and international artists).

Current Exhibitions
2009 has started with "Ornement et Plis" (Ornaments and folds) by Khen Shish - up to the 28th of February.
The works are composed from the artist's biographic and fabricated life fragments.TV work, collages, paintings and photos are processed into a mixture, and folded into each other.

The show will offer a poetic and distanced vision of the security excesses of the over-policed Western society and their consequences on human beings (4 Marsh - 25 April).


Previous Exhibitions
After a first exhibition dedicated to the Israeli photographer Yigal Feliks, the second show, "Past Reality, Present Reality", confronted the look of four contemporary photographers: Didier Ben Loulou, Leora Laor, Jean-Baptiste Avril Bodenheimer and Yigal Feliks. Contrasts, complementarities, caesura, traditions, modernity, history and future were subtly mix together.
This exhibition was part of the second edition of the PPP (Parisian Photographic Route - http://ppp.chezhiggins.com), a program gathering around sixty galleries and art places having for link the photography.

Taking part of SLICK, the Off of the Fiac, Hagalleria is really proud to participate in Paris’ contemporary art week.
Two individual shows have brilliantly close 2008
à part | tenir by Amihai Melki (6 September - 18 October) and JERUSALEM 1991-2006 by Didier Ben Loulou (30 October - 31 December).
This last exhibition belonged to "Mois de la Photo Off"(Paris Photography Month) and was accompanied with a book (Jerusalem, éditions du Panama).
