Hoxton Square Gallery

Hoxton Square Gallery is run for the non-speculative promotion of artists and their visitors. It works on both an actual level in the square and a virtual level by way of the website. Six virtual shows are planned for 2007 with actual performances and shows taking place in Hoxton Square itself throughout the year.
The gallery began its existence in September 2005. If the gallery had a mission statement one possibility might be “Forever Open

Paint your pillow and fight night May 3rd 2007 in Hoxton Square

Artists will be exhibiting what they want to fight for on their pillows using a variety of media.

Between 6pm and 7pm the artists will gather in Hoxton Square and talk about their work. This will also be a chance to make any last minute changes to the pillows.

From 7pm to 8pm the artists will pick up there pillows and fight.

From 8pm to 9pm the artists will talk about the fight and their work.

Kind consideration of opponent’s bodies is to be encouraged at all times throughout the fight.

It is hoped that visitors will participate.
