James Hyman Gallery

JAMES HYMAN received his doctorate from the Courtauld Institute in London and has worked internationally as a writer, lecturer, broadcaster, curator and art dealer.
James Hyman recently moved from Mason'S Yard to a large new gallery at 5 Savile Row. The gallery is developing its programme of exhibitions by International Contemporary Artists, alongside its continuing representation of important Modern British Artists and Estates.

James Hyman Gallery prides itself on the art historical significance and museum quality of the artworks handled. The gallery regularly sells and loans works to museums.
James Hyman Gallery is a member of the Society of London Art Dealers (SLAD). SLAD was established in 1932 and represents 100 of the top London art dealers.

THE FLOWER OF LIFE: AN EXHIBITION ABOUT ART, LOVE AND NATURE 20 Sep – 27 Oct 2007
This specially curated exhibition of important artworks coinciding with a change of name and a move to a new space, appropriately focuses on the theme of transformation. Highlights include major paintings by Michael Andrews, Patrick Caulfield, Alan Davie, Derrick Greaves, Patrick Heron, Ivon Hitchens and Edward Middleditch, as well as Marc Quinn's recent Portraits of Landscapes.

LEWIS CHAMBERLAIN: THINGS THAT GO 20 Sep – 27 Oct 2007
Following Chamberlain’s sell-out show four years ago, this exhibition is a rare opportunity to view the artist’s latest, painstakingly produced works, including his largest painting to date.

James Hyman Gallery is pleased to announce its move from Mason’s Yard to a major new gallery space in Savile Row. James Hyman Gallery will open at 5 Savile Row on 19 September 2007 with two major new exhibitions, The Flower of Life and Lewis Chamberlain. Things that Go.

This expansion to a brand new, specially designed gallery will provide James Hyman Gallery with a hugely increased exhibition space and create one of the largest galleries in Mayfair.

The enhanced new exhibition space will allow James Hyman Gallery to develop its programme of exhibitions by Contemporary artists, alongside its continuing representation of important Modern British Artists and Estates.
