Kunsthaus Erfurt was founded in 1990. Its schedule combines young and established positions of national and international contemporary artists.
The main focus is to represent innovative approaches in traditional media like
painting, drawing, and sculpture and furthermore in videoart, installation and photography.

Special engagement lies also on the presentation of temporary projects in public space. Projects were realized next to installations in the center of Erfurt in which an intensive analysis of artistic attitudes beyond traditional exhibition spaces got enabled.
