Massimo Audiello is the owner of the homonymous gallery in Chelsea.

In 1980 Massimo Audiello graduated from The University of Florence with a degree in architecture and promptly decided to move to New York City.

He began his activity in the art world as the assistant to critic Diego Cortez during the making of the show "New York, New Wave" at PS1 in 1981.

Through Diego Cortez Massimo Audiello had the opportunity to work with a generation of artists including Jean-Michel Basquiat, Keith Harring, Kenny Sharf, Robert Mapplethorpe, William Burroughs, Fred Breatway and many other important figures of the 80's New York art scene.

In 1985 he opened his first gallery in the East Village and in 1987 due to the gallery's rapid growth he moved the space to Greene street in Soho.

With his Soho gallery, Massimo Audiello was instrumental in the growth of the careers of such artists as Mc Dermott Mc Gough, Adam Fuss, Christian Eckart, Jonathan Lasker and Saint Claire Cemin.
