Dr. Michael Cohn, AAA has over thirty years experience with Asian antiquities and objects. He is a certified member of the Appraisers Association of America and a registered dealer of traditional Asian antiquities for over twenty years. He is co-chair of the National Conference of Appraisers Association of America. He regularly participates in major Asian Art Fairs around the country. At the New York gallery, he has mounted several exhibitions. He is active with philanthropic and cultural organizations with ties to Asia.
Since 1996, Michael Cohn Asian Antiquities has been located in a handsomely restored historic Greek revival townhouse in New York City\\\\\\\'s Greenwich Village. There Dr. Cohn specializes in objects from south of the ancient Silk Route including Buddhist and Hindu ritual objects as well as objet d\\\\\\\'art. Works from India,Sri Lanka, Cambodia, Thailand, Burma,Laos, Vietnam, Tibet, Nepal, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Indonesia dominate the comprehensive collection although the South Asian theme is augmented by a refined assortment of arts from China, Japan, Korea and Central Asia.
