Opened in September 1986 with a solo exhibition of François Morellet, the Oniris Gallery proceeds in the way which it has traced for twenty years: to exhibit confirmed work, testifying to an engagement in a rigorous, accurate and lasting research. These choices have been noticed through all the previous exhibitions at the Gallery presenting artworks of international artists to a non-Parisian public such as Aurelie Nemours, Vera Molnar, Julije Knifer, Norman Dilworth but also Claude Viallat, Jean-Pierre Pincemin, Alain Clément or Christian Bonnefoi among others.
