LE was opened in 2003 at 1183 Dundas St W. in Toronto's Little Portugal Neighbourhood. The 1100 Square foot space focuses on the promotion and exposure of Candada's top emerging and mid career artists in critical contemporary practice. By strengthening the careers of emerging artists and participating critically in the Toronto art scene LE has forged a path of professional representation for artists yet to break into the commercial market. LE has garnered a solid reputation for itself and it's artists with reviews and exhibitions locally, nationally, and internationally. The mandate of the gallery allows for the exhibition of work in all mediums and facilitates the introduction of emerging artists to not only to the public but also to collectors and upper tier galleries.
