'The ClintonObama Games Table'

'The ClintonObama Games Table', a new work by the Northern Irish artist h. ollary. b. was launched in Milan, Italy during the Salone del Mobile last month is currently on exhibit at Love Wood Gallery in Antwerp, Belgium.
The table is created from solid American white oak, with a Draughts or Checkers board in American cherry covered with birch and ebony. Twenty-four counters in cherry and walnut are covered with the images of the candidates for the Democratic Party nomination for President of the US: 12 with the face of Sen. Hillary Clinton and 12 with the face of Sen. Barack Obama. The counters are laid out in the traditional formation with which a game of Draughts or Checkers begins. Four points of swinging light reflect up through the games board from below to highlight the hand painted collage representing the colours of the flag of the US which covers the surface of the table.

The gallery is located in Antwerp city centre
Directions:
From Brussels: Take the E19 to Antwerp. Approaching Antwerp you will enter the Craybeckx tunnel. Take the exit for Antwerpen in the tunnel. Continue straight until the Mechelsesteenweg, the gallery is on the right on at number 67
From Ghent: Take the E17 to Antwerp. After the Kennedy tunnel take the second exit 'Wilrijk/Berchem'. Turn left at the traffic lights and then right at the second traffic lights and then left at the next traffic lights. Continue straight until the Mechelsesteenweg, the gallery is on the right on at number 67
From Breda: Take the E19 to Antwerp. On the Ring Antwerpen follow the direction Brussels as far as the exit 'Berchem'. Take this exit and turn right at the first trafic lights. Continue straight until the Mechelsesteenweg, the gallery is on the right on at number 67
