Gallery/Dealer Details - Eli Klein Fine Art
Eli Klein Fine Art is committed to exhibiting the work of some of China's most highly regarded established and emerging artists. The gallery is composed of a dedicated team of curators and scholars of Chinese contemporary art. We wish to stimulate inter-cultural dialogue, and to cultivate an academic approach to China’s most ground-breaking talents.
Our gallery artists represent the cutting edge of Chinese art, employing various mediums and methods of creating art representative of contemporary culture as it continues to undergo rapid change. The gallery’s Beijing location, founded in 2010 as EK Projects, is also a significant contributor to the increasing recognition of Chinese contemporary art. EK Projects provides a platform for artists working in experimental media who demonstrate a uniqueness of vision as well as far-reaching potential.
We collaborate with some of the world's most prestigious museums, private collections and art institutions. Through museum exhibitions, gallery shows, participation in prominent fairs for contemporary art, as well as the publication of exhibition catalogues and scholarly essays, we ensure that Chinese art becomes more accessible to Western audiences. Founded in 2007, Eli Klein Fine Art is now one of the foremost galleries specializing in Chinese contemporary art, and is a major force in the field.
In September of 2007, Eli Klein Fine Art opened in the heart of SOHO on West Broadway, situated amongst many of New York’s finest galleries and art establishments. Its striking, newly renovated, street-level location boasts a 4,000 square feet exhibition space spread over two floors. The gallery has housed a number of group exhibitions and the solo shows of artists Zhang Peng, Zhang Dali, Shen Shaomin, Liu Bolin, Zhang Hui, and, most recently, Luo Qing.
In previous years, Eli Klein Fine Art has participated in many reputable international art fairs in cities including London, Miami, Chicago, New York, and Los Angeles. Our very strong curatorial department has plans to collaborate with several prominent fine art museums and private collections across the U.S., allowing new Chinese art to become more accessible to a larger audience. Eli Klein Fine Art contends to represent contemporary Chinese art at the forefront of the New York art scene.
