Gallery/Dealer Details - ABC Gallery

ABC Gallery was established in 1992. We are active in the area of Polish contemporary art. The Gallery focuses on both the classics of the contemporary period (especially the artists who made their debuts around the time of the 1st Exhibition of Modern Art of 1948), and discoveries of achievements of the young generation artists. Therefore the activity of the Gallery concentrates on the implementation of two parallel projects. The first of these is "The Masters of Contemporary Polish Painting" series. It consists of retrospective presentations of outstanding representatives of Polish art of the last 5 decades. Each exhibition comprises 100 - 250 works by a given artist, ranging from the earliest to the most recent paintings. Outstanding, richly illustrated monograph albums accompany each exhibition. Since 2001 the series has been implemented under the honorary patronage of the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Poland. Among the artists presented in the series and whose works are on offer in the gallery are: Janina Kraupe, Jerzy Tchórzewski, Kiejstut Bereźnicki, Jan Tarasin, Jan Szancenbach. The other project pursued by ABC Gallery concentrates on the promotion of artists of the young generation. As part of this project we ask each year for the collaboration of a few selected artists whose works are ever since displayed regularly at exhibitions and presented in the catalogues published by the Gallery. Amongst the young generation artists collaborating with the Gallery are: Andrzej Bednarczyk, Adam Molenda, Mariusz Kruk, Ignacy Czwartos, Jacek Dłużewski.
