Limited edition print by Jitish Kallat
This limited edition print is published by the Saatchi Gallery to accompany The Empire Strikes Back.
Sweatopia (1000 People/ 1000 Homes)
Original laser cut lithograph
99 x 67 cm
Printed on 250 gr. Velin d'Arches paper
Edition of 100 numbered and signed by the artist
Printed at Edition Copenhagen in Copenhagen, Denmark
The lithographic print "Sweatopia (1000 People/ 1000 Homes)" has a simple image of a shirt hung to dry on a clothes line.
As if the garment were a carrier of the city's inner secrets, it drips a thousand narratives culled from a vast, colliding humanscape.
The string it hangs on is formed by a text drawn from Tristan Tzara's nonsensical and richly layered dada poem titled
"The Great Lament Of My Obscurity Three".

Limited edition print by Eric and Heather ChanSchatz(ED02)
This limited edition print is published by the Saatchi Gallery to accompany Abstract America.
Untitled (ED02 Interior)
Original lithograph
50 x 69 cm
Printed on 300 gr. Velin d'Arches paper
120 ex. numbered and signed by the artist
Printed at Edition Copenhagen in Copenhagen, Denmark
"untitled (ED02 Interior)" is from Eric and Heather ChanSchatz's "In Situ" series where the artists have created their own worlds, places, and rooms. "untitled (ED02 Interior)" is a setting that welcomes interpretation and invites participation. ChanSchatz have envisioned the interiors and spaces for a collection of potential inhabitants, including their own paintings in the tradition Henri Matisse and David Hockney.
Though the artwork can be read as an interior, the interpretation is purposefully flexible. ChanSchatz command a vision where the abstract becomes recognizable and vice versa. Within the piece, the framed element can be read as a window or a picture within a picture, while the objects that inhabit the space are both figurative and iconic.
