I do not actively dislike this - but it screams "chick lit" at me and I do not think that this is what the book needs to portray - why alienate the male portion of your audience unnecessarily? I am the target audience for this book, as I like Arcade Fire and The Royal Tenenbaums and the Flaming Lips. I would not choose this

I have to agree, it's geared to a young, female readership, but it looks hip and funky and you could promote it to death with a grass-roots campaign starting with the Village Voice. This cover would sell well!

I would not be seen reaading a book with such a chick book cover in public - not for me I am afraid.

Wondering what Sean Dixon himself thinks about the quality of 20 books shortlist... This book was published last year in Canada under the title: The Girls Who Saw Everything ( Coach House Books) basing a lot to The Epic of Gilgamesh. This cover is suitable for teen age reading.

One of my favorite but as a guy there is nothing compleing me to buy this book or read it in the public.

Watercolour are my weakness,somehow the way Vincenzi used in this one is not...

Wow a breath of colour, I hope that the one judge on the panel that does not prefer dull, dreary, insipid and grey can fight your corner !

Looks very stylish and would appeal to the female market who are looking for something more than chic lit.Culty and cool.

It is necessary time for the judges to retire!! How to choose these 20 book covers. Other participants were much better, certainly this competition is big one joke!

This will DEFINITELY appeal to the client. Only crit I can give is that you should've brought your beautiful watercolours into the text.
