The Last days of the Lacuna Cabal

The Last days of the Lacuna Cabal
Posted by: Grace CoombesEnter a comment

A simple design put together by scanning hand drawn, typed and cut out materials and then composing them in Photoshop. I included certain aspects from the extracts that I felt were important to the plot.

My friend if this looks like a yacht then I must have been confused my whole life and I had everything in reverse.

They're posting the winner on the 5th aren't they? That's what I seem to remember from the brief; could be wrong though.

More blooming sailbotas which are not the type of boat in the book - and this just doesnt do it for me - it is untidy and displeasing on many leavels

Things are revolving as they come - the whole thing was a big joke.

posted by: hugh thomas | 04/05/2008

But didn't they say they would select the winner on the 1st of May??

posted by: Grace | 03/05/2008

The winner will be known when the book is published.

posted by: hugh thomas | 03/05/2008

When do they decide on the winner?? It doesn't seem to say!!

Wondering what Sean Dixon himself thinks about the quality of 20 books shortlist... This book was published last year in Canada under the title: The Girls Who Saw Everything ( Coach House Books) basing a lot to The Epic of Gilgamesh. Also: Lacuna: means ' empty space' or missing part in a manuscript etc, it might not mean same as Lagoon.

a clear winner. four thumbs up.

I do not care for quick sand or drawning- it is an awful way of dying and depicted so emotionless.

A captivating design - I like it a lot and hope it wins.
