Stock
47,000 volumes (mostly contemporary monographs on artists), 17 magazines in subscription, e.g., Art in America, Art Forum, Nike, Parkett. Also CD Roms and book inquiries. The stock is being constantly augmented by current catalogs from international museums.
Focus of the collection
The library stock follows the focal points of the museum collections and is specialized in German art after '45, the Rhenish Expressionists, the Informel, Joseph Beuys, August Macke and artists from Bonn.
Use
Because of open shelf storage, each book is immediately available to the user and can be studied at the 12 reading places. There are three connections for laptops. After prior appointment, applicants can have original graphic works brought to them for study. We are, of course, available to answer inquiries that are addressed to us by letter or phone.
