Facilities - Centre Pompidou
The Pompidou Centre offers several activities for blind and visually impaired individual visitors and groups:

Blind people are used to using powers of mental reconstruction to perceive the world. They draw on memory, reason, knowledge, experience and imagination. These are the same faculties used to understand the artistic process.
Modern Art is a unique place in which handicap is displaced, and can allow for greater perception and understanding of an art work.
Our activities let visitors discover by touch:
Bronze, marble and granite sculptures (Henri Matisse, Jean Arp)
Contemporary works in mixed media: resin, tar, rope, tile, fabric (Jean Dubuffet)
The Pompidou Centre also offers Oral tours, singular in the sense that they provided a detailed and emotive desciption of works for the visually impaired, and that they encourage visitor participation and discussion.
The Museum Library is equipped with lighting, Braille printers and scanners, and audio system. It has an extensive audio collection of music, spoken word and audio books. Phone 01 44 78 43 75
Museum Boutiques
The museum has several bookshops and a design boutique, open to the public. You will find books, postcards and multimedia products relating to the centre, as well as a large selection of publications of art and design related topics.
The centre has three bookshops. The main one is situated in the Forum, the smaller ones provide material relating to temporary exhibitions, and can be found on the sixth floor and by the Museum entrance.
Restaurants
The Georges restaurant, on the sixth floor, offers one of the most beautiful panoramic views of Paris. Its architecture of fluid forms executed in aluminium, realised by Dominique Jacob and Brendan McFarlane, preserves the singular structure of the centre.

There are two restaurant services offering quick meals and snacks: The Café, situated in the Forum on level 1, and the Bpi Kiosk on level 2.
