Getting There - Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam

To reach Stedelijk Museum CS in the Post CS-building (with also Post Amsterdam, Club Restaurant 11 and others) from Centraal Station, Amsterdam, and the Markenhoven-, Waterlooplein- and Passenger Terminal Amsterdam-car parks, pedestrians and bicyclists should follow the signs reading ‘Route Oosterdok’.
Pedestrians:
From Centraal Station: east exit from Centraal Station, via Connexxion bus stops and the pedestrian pier.
From Waterlooplein/east side of central Amsterdam: Valkenburgerstraat, via NEMO pier, over the Van der Velde bridge (bridge near NEMO)
From the IJ waterfront (PTA, De Ruyterkade, ferries): walk through the Oostbuis of the Oostertoegang and along pedestrian pier.
Bicycles:
WALK your bicycle, via the Van der Velde Bridge (from the NEMO pier) and the pedestrian pier (bicycling is not permitted on the pedestrian pier).
Please notice: The Stedelijk Museum at Paulus Potterstraat (Museumsquare) is closed until 2008.

Tramway:
Line 25 + 26 from Central Station (Stop: PTA/Muziekgebouw).
Cars:
Visitors arriving by automobile can park in the nearby car parks:
- Markenhoven: Anne Frankstraat,
route from the A10: direction S100, exit Centrum, follow P-signs
- ANWB Parking Waterlooplein:
Valkenburgerstraat 238, under Albert Heijn
route from the A10: direction S100, exit Centrum, follow P-signs
- Passenger Terminal Amsterdam:
Oosterlijke Handelskade 1
Route from the A10: Ring A10 North, exit S114, direction Centrum, right on S100, direction Centraal Station, follow P-signs.
It is about a five to ten minute walk from the parking garages to Stedelijk Museum CS.
Tour buses/(Motor) coaches:
Loading and unloading passengers: by the Oosterdoksdam or the NEMO pier. Parking places and waiting spaces for coaches at the regular designated places in the city.

There is ample opportunity for parking on this site. Route description by car:
From the North (A10):
After the Coentunnel take exit S102 (IJmuiden), take a right turn, at the second trafficlight make a right turn (Telegraaf) and then take the second road on the right & the first on the left.
The Hague/Utrecht/Rotterdam from (A10):
Follow the Ring West, direction Zaandam. Take Exit S102 (IJmuiden), at the end of the exit make a left turn under the viaduct and at the second trafficlight (near the Telegraaf building) make a right turn and then take the second road on the right & the first on the left.
From Haarlem (S103):
Exit S103 at Sloterdijk and drive past Sloterdijk railway station. Cross the major intersection (Telegraaf) and take the second road on the right & the first on the left.
Bus/taxi:
During rush hours bus line 237 and 238 bring you every fifteen minutes from Amsterdam Sloterdijk Station to the Deccaweg from 6:430 and 9:00 a.m. Departure times bus 239 from the Deccaweg stop are from 3:35 to 6.20 p.m. (last bus).
