Students - Kunstmuseum Bonn
Whoever doubts that there is any sense at all in grease, felt, Styrofoam or pollen should attend a course that lasts several weeks, where he/she will learn about the latest manifestations of art in the 20th century.
The museum is, however, just as much a place of creativity. With paint, brush and many another tool, new artworks can emerge. Paint flows over the picture, straws rustle under the electric iron, sugar water and red wine ooze over paper, paint cushions glow. Not only seniors are given the opportunity to develop their own creativity by taking part in various practical courses. The direct contact with the original becomes for children of all ages an event. To see that the painter, August Macke, really did apply thick globs of paint to a picture highlights the difference to a one-dimensional poster. Children, from pre-school age on, have the chance to satisfy their curiosity in the museum, to experience the artwork in a playful way, to expand their fantasy and, above all, learn to see. In diverse courses, ranked according to age, what is seen is creatively translated and enhanced. Repeated occasions, which build on the ones before, create a feeling of familiarity and allow an uninhibited approach.
Regular workshop courses during the school vacations complete the range.
