| Städel Museum Frankfurt
The Städel is one of the leading and best known art museums in Germany. It is a must for any visitor to Frankfurt. 700 years of European history are represented in a collection of 2,700 paintings, 600 sculptures and 100,000 prints and drawings by artists ranging from Dürer, Holbein and Cranach to Rembrandt, Vermeer, Monet, Van Gogh and Cézanne to Matisse and Picasso, Bacon and Baselitz, Serra and Palermo.

Wilhelm Lehmbruck: The Busts. A Return to the Städel Museum
The occasion of this exhibition is a generous loan from the Kirchner Museum in Davos: the bust Head of the Kneeling Woman of 1914 temporarily returns to the Städel Museum, having been removed from the museum in 1937, when Lehmbruck was still alive, as part of the National Socialist confiscation campaign. The exhibition built around this work, together with other works from the Städel and several other loans, directs the viewers attention to an aspect of Lehmbruck’s oeuvre that has thus far received little attention: the subtle and highly differentiated work with partial casts in various materials. Guided Tours for Students
English-speaking students of all ages can explore the collection through a guided tour. We discuss exciting topics with the students, present them different epochs and show our pieces of art in a diversified way. Please choose a topic from the list below.
In addition to our guided tours, students can also take part in a workshop. In our Städel studios we can for example paint or draw. The workshop is geared to the chosen subject.

The old foyer and garden room offer more then 500 m2 of space for functions and events in exceptional surroundings. In summer the large garden adds an extra 2,500 m2.
