Description:Dead bullock on cart surrounded by group of men. This painting highlights the contradictions of the painting of the boy and calf by examining issues where the loss of innocence relating to sexuality, is implied by the innocence of affection, contrasted by the spilling of blood by the animal. Disobedience, curiosity and the seeking of adventure led to invasion of privacy, loss of innocence and the discovery of conscious brutality.
