Sarah PagerBorn in United Kingdom. Lives in: London Chelsea College of Art and Design
I make work using familiar objects awkwardly or jarringly reframed to offer a tear in the fabric of reality. These sculptures are flashes of open ended narratives featuring consumption and desire, installed by the light of the absurd.
Exploring the dissonant area between consciousness and the physical my work aims to provoke a visceral multi-sensory reaction in the viewer. Often referencing body processes, in a society where objects are empowered to offer redemption by proxy my sculpture is sited in an area where desire touches on obscenity.

Work of art I would like to makeI would like to be able to make a larger version of the piece “chair”, a maquette of which is shown in the images submitted. This is currently a 2x life size sculpture consisting of a pair of facing steel tube frames referencing office type chairs, one of which has been wrenched apart. They share between them a newtons cradle arrangement of oversize sweets.
