4 NEW SENSATIONS
After the success of the first 4 New Sensations prize launched last year, Channel 4 and The Saatchi Gallery are delighted to announce that 4 New Sensations was held again in 2008 for all UK art students. Students graduating from BA and MA courses at UK colleges and universities were invited to enter the competition with work from their 2008 degree shows.

The competition has now closed for new entries. The four finalists have now been selected and will be creating their new work for the final exhibition. The 20 shortlisted artists will also exhibit their work at the Truman Brewery where the final winner will be announced.

This year there will be two winners of the 4 New Sensations 2008 competition. One will be decided upon by a public web vote to be hosted on a bespoke area of Saatchi Online. The second will be chosen by the panel of judges who will select a winner from the four completed new commissions made by the 4 finalists of the competition. The two winners will each be awarded £3000 as prize money.
