Another larger portrait painitng of my brother Antonio. I painited this on an A1 canvas with oil paints. This was an additional image I took of him, scrunching his face with the use of his hands. I have painted him in the style of Philippe Pasqua. I enjoyed painting this as it was an expressive piece, with a lot of dominant colours since it was inspired by Philippe's work. Philippe's work is very loose with a lot of free brushtrokes,smacked on the canvas. I wanted to create the same effect, so I use similar colours form Philippe's painting. I believe it has turned out successfully, since I made it look rough and expressive. |
