The white spoon is an echo of a clinical setting. It is a recollection just as much as the pink fluidity of the calpol. The white spoon contains its own clinical code. By reminding us of our childhood, it reminds us that we are all mortal and all grow. The phrase “momento mori” translates as “remember your own mortality” and belongs to a genre of artworks that vary widely but which all share thae same purpose; to remind people of their mortality. |
