Large Scale Canvas, acrylic paint; Art work inspired by colour theory, artists, Patrick Heron, Sonia Delauney & Henri Matisse colour works; secondary influence from the Turner, Monet, Twombly exhibition. Students produced a series of studies of the dance students rehearsing for a dance performance. The movements of the dance students and the spaces between the dancers was our starting point. The studies were produced on long strips 1ft x 5ft in length x 4 tonal, x4 colour. Larger tonal studies produced looking at specific ares of the inital studies using viewfinders. Then a final 5ft x 4ft canvas produced for the final image. |
