This piece was exploring the concept of portaiture and where it can be taken; inspired by Robert Rausenberg in this piece I've experimented with layers and contrasting techniques to create an interactive portrait. This is a portrait of my Father and each component symbolises and explores different parts of the subject's life. Looking at the propaganda portraits of Cromwell and Stuart Kings I was interested by the the way in which their portaits were used to create a specific image. This is Acrylic on Canvas (6ft by 4ft) |
