The children were asked to produce a canvas covered with things starting with the letter A.
The canvas was covered with printed English words which start with the letter A and coloured tissue paper discs.
All children had a picture taken with items starting with the letter A.
( aglets, alarm clock, ace, angels, asleep, abacus, anatomy, apron, alligator, asparagus, Adele cd)
They also printed things which start with the letter A from the internet google search(such as armadillo, alpha romeo, ant eater, Acropolis, Anniversary etc)
They used photos of the ink-blot tests and had to say what they imagined, but it needed to start with the letter A.
The children edited/cropped/glued/arranged the pieces on the canvas. This was then covered/painted with clear acrylic.
The central letter A was made from paper mache and a wooden letter A.
Photos were edited using google picasa and picnik.
This could be a long term project as they could keep going and making all the letters of the alphabet.
But most importantly it was a group effort and so much fun! |
