The Glass Mannequin was created by Lucy Caton within around 20 hours using over 13 mirrors. The head of the mannequin has 'hellish-like' nails representing hair on the head of the mannequin. The depth and thought behind the mannequin is allowed to be interpreted from any vision that the viewer sees, however their was an actual purpose behind the creation of the artwork. Symbolising the perception of Glamour within the life of a celebrity with the destruction of the paparazzi and pressure causing the 'hellish' rebellions of such celebrities who can be seen to do unusual things;shaving their heads, resorting to drugs and alcohol abuse, etc. |
