My project entitled ‘Weep, Reflect and Succumb to Life’ deals with the value and futility of life, something I am greatly interested in. We live during an age where we can communicate with each other through the touch of a few buttons, yet we are still extremely socially inept and unable to properly care for life. People should relish the life around them rather than mindlessly wander through it distressing about the little things that in fact are dreadfully insignificant on the grand scheme of things. Finding this whole idea intriguing and simply perplexing to think about, I have decided to explore and mostly express this through my project. Through my disjointed panels, I hope to show you that in everyday life you are surrounded by (like these panels) individuals of all shapes sizes and colours who (like this final piece) you see but do not think about. If every story ends the same, in death, then why do the majority not spend our existence communing, searching and discovering every possible thing and one available to you? So I hope that these random fragments of life I have captured with different media are successful in portraying my message... |
