Mirror mosaic on plaster face and canvas, pink gloves, pink neon lamp and acrylic paint
This work shows the contrast between perfection and imperfection. Since humans are the ones who invented something like ‘per- fection’, in reality there is actually not such a thing. I played with the contrast of having a sophisticated work representing beauty and perfection; in the detailed work of the mosaic, and to break that perfection, I put the essential face of the canvas, right out- side of the centre, to represent imperfecti- on in everyone. This work embraces imper- fections and focuses on them because they are what makes every one of us unique. |
