A2 Acrylic and fluorescent paint on canvas.
This are two paintings in one: the first one, which you can see in the day ligh is an old face which represents the changes that take place on human face over the years, and the second portrait which is visible under UV light represents the soul that always remains young. I used acrylic colours for painting the old face, and then on the top I painted the young face with invisible fluorescent colour that is visible only under UV light. The idea of the painting is to explore the agging process. In my oppinion what makes people old is not the physical changes but the fact that the spirit remains young. |
